About Dr Dan

As a Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist, Dan takes a holistic, trauma-informed approach, integrating biological, psychological, and social factors to treat the whole person rather than simply addressing symptoms. He provides specialised psychiatric care for people with complex medical conditions and collaborates closely with treating teams when required.

Dan understands that whilst medication is an important tool, it is only one part of effective mental health care. Alongside medication management, he offers psychotherapy and hypnotherapy, working collaboratively with each patient to develop an approach tailored to their individual needs.

In addition to private practice, Dan works in psycho-oncology at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. Outside of psychiatry, he is a passionate gardener with a love for growing weird and wonderful plants.
